HSCTC

Established in 1904, Social Service League of Ithaca solicits applications from local non-profit agencies to support their work in addressing the most significant community needs. Applications are now available for spring 2010's new round of funding on the Human Services Coalition of Tompkins County's web page www.hsctc.org. HSC provides technical support and facilitates the funding distribution process. The deadline for applications is Monday, April 5, 2010.

Recently $2,100 was added to the endowment through a Silent Auction facilitated by the Country Club of Ithaca and Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce. In 2009 interest from the endowment granted $12,400 in awards (ranging from $300 to $2,000) to 12 local agencies, including the American Red Cross, Tompkins County for NYS Licensed Day Care Provider Training; Catholic Charities Tompkins/Tioga for the Utility Shut-off Fund; and the SPCA of Tompkins County for Safety Net for Pets of Homeless and At-Risk Populations in Tompkins County. Other awards supported food, health, recreation, and employment.
