The United Way of Tompkins County and the Human Services Coalition of Tompkins County conducted a county-wide community asset and needs assessment, COMPASS II, in 2003. A second round of this assessment, COMPASS II-2.0, has been initiated in 2009. The Compass II-2.0 Interim Report provides a summary of information collected to date.

The report is structured around 10 major topic areas. Within each of these topic areas, you will find three tabs: COMPASS II-2.0 Survey Data, Indicator Information, and Questions to Answer. The Interim Report presents data gathered from the Household Survey and relevant indicator information.  As you will note, this report does not provide any conclusions or a final analysis, but helps set the stage for the next steps in the project.

Over the next few months focus groups will be conducted, key stakeholders will be interviewed, and open-ended survey comments will be analyzed.  This qualitative information will be used to further understand the collected data. The Final Report will be completed early in 2010.
