The Homeless and Housing Task Force, facilitated by the Human Services Coalition, presents topics that educate and update members on emergency shelter, supplemental food programs, affordable housing, transportation, and other emerging basic needs of homeless individuals or persons at-risk of homelessness. The Homeless & Housing Task Force is also the educational arm of the Continuum of Care (CoC).
Meeting attendance ranges from 35 to 50 individuals (with a mailing list of more than 600). Broad support and participation comes from service providers, public housing agencies, school systems and universities, businesses, hospitals, law enforcement, Workforce Development, funders, volunteers, local elected officials, faith-based organizations, homeless and formerly homeless people, and the public. The Task Force meetings are open to the public.
