Social Service League of Ithaca Grant Guidelines and Application
The mission of the Social Service League is to support Tompkins County not-for-profit, human service organizations in their work to address the most significant community needs. Any not-for-profit, incorporated, human/social service provider in Tompkins County is eligible to apply. Ordinarily, public/government agencies and individuals are not eligible to receive funds. Projects must prove ability to sustain themselves without continuing support from the League. Funding is not granted for capital fund drives or deficits. For more information, contact the Human Services Coalition at 607-273-8686.
In 2010, the Social Service League of Ithaca Foundation received 22 applications requesting a total of $51,384 of support. The Board met in May and allocated $15,759 to 13 organizations. The Human Services Coalition continues to provide technical support and facilitate the funding process. The next funding cycle will be in the spring of 2011. (Deadline to be announced.)
