Presented by the Human Services Coalition
Co-sponsored by the Tompkins County Public Library
Nothing is more important to the health and sustainability of your organization than getting the right people to serve on your board. But many organizations struggle with this process.
Why is it so challenging? Because the job of building a board is about more than just filling slots. It is about finding people with the values, skills, attitudes that align with the needs of the organization.
Join your board colleagues in a discussion of how to identify and recruit the right board members. In the session, the group will:
- Examine leading practices on how to recruit the right board members
- Learn and share successful ways to identify the needs of the board – and how to find people that can fulfill them
- Learn and share ways to build a recruitment framework that will create a process for ongoing, effective board recruitment
