This workshop focuses on the importance of psychological safety in fostering effective teamwork and creating a culture of care. Participants will learn strategies to build trust\, encourage open communication\, and support each other’s well-being\, leading to enhanced collaboration and performance. \n\nLearning Outcomes: \n\nDefine psychological safety and its impact on team dynamics and performance\nIdentify behaviors that promote psychological safety within teams\nImplement practices that support individual and collective well-being\n\nAbout the Presenter\nShasta Savage is a trainer\, speaker\, consultant\, leadership coach and yoga/mindfulness instructor. With a background in the trauma-informed lens and human rights perspective\, she provides support on topics such as leadership development\, organizational culture\, program development\, employee well-being\, self- and community-care. This interactive workshop invites nonprofit leaders to approach change through a human-centered lens\, focusing on the people at the heart of every transition. Together\, we will explore practical tools to navigate uncertainty with transparency\, compassion\, and shared purpose. You’ll learn how to communicate openly (even when answers are evolving)\, create space for honest and supportive dialogue\, and strengthen trust in your teams. Participants will leave with a framework and real-world strategies that honor both organizational goals and the human experience of change. \n\n  \nAbout the Presenter\nChrista Downey is an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) on a mission to support organizations and their leaders to bring their BOLDEST visions to reality toward a healthier\, more equity\, more sustainable world. \nChrista coaches leaders at Fortune 100 companies\, healthcare organizations\, and startups around the globe. She holds certifications in both EQi 2.0 Emotional Intelligence and PQ Positive Intelligence. She holds an M.S. in College Student Personnel from Miami University and a B.S. in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University. She is currently the Director of Cornell’s Engineering Career Center and an Operating Partner at Chloe Capital. \nTo re-energize\, Christa enjoys time outside on the water\, swimming or paddling\, or surrounded by trees\, backpacking or snowshoeing.
