Tompkins Health Network

Tompkins Health Network, a program of the Health Planning Council focuses on barriers to health in rural communities. Lack of public transportation, fewer health care professionals, delays in response time by emergency personnel, financial constraints, and social isolation – are just a few of the factors that contribute to poorer health outcomes. Since 2004, with funding from the NYS Rural Health Network Development Program, Tompkins Health Network has partnered with local providers and sister rural health networks to improve these issues.
