The Homeless and Housing Task Force (HHTF), facilitated by the Human Services Coalition, presents topics that educate and update the community on emergency shelter, supplemental food programs, affordable housing, transportation, and other basic needs of people currently experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The HHTF is also the educational arm of the Continuum of Care (CoC).

As you are likely aware, SNAP benefits are changing to include new and changed regulations for certain recipients. Please join to hear from Adele Ayers, Director of Eligibility, Tompkins County Department of Social Services who will share an overview of the new requirements and some SUPER innovative ways Tompkins Community is coming together to help people meet those requirements.

We will also hear from Anushka Bhargave, BDS, MPH, Tompkins County Whole Health, Public Health Fellow and Samantha Hillson, MA, MPH, Tompkins County Whole Health,  Director of Health Promotion. They will be sharing and seeking discussion about the Tompkins County Community Health Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan Overview and Discussion: Draft interventions and strategies.  They will provide an overview of the Community Health Improvement process and outline the suggested interventions and strategies for addressing the selected health priorities and will focus on interventions related to the Housing Stability and Affordability priority area.
