Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is having the awareness of and the ability to choose how to respond to different and sometimes challenging contexts. Whether you are in a leadership position or in a place to influence others, understanding your EQ will make you a better leader at work and at home.
What is the benefit of increasing your EQ? The ability to understand self – and others – in difficult situations and to respond from a place of awareness. This positively impacts interpersonal and team interactions and can provide more satisfying and productive relationships.
In the session, you will:
- Gain a clear understanding of why EQ is a crucial component of leadership development and interpersonal effectiveness
- Be introduced to Bar-On EQi 2.0, an EQ model of interrelated emotional and social competency skills and behaviors
- Have an opportunity to reflect on which areas you are strongest in, and those in which you can improve upon
- Leave with a stronger sense of your personal strengths and a concrete action plan on how to increase your personal EQ
- Be prepared to engage with others from a place of awareness, resulting in more effective individual, team and family relationships
