Help us Support the
Tompkins County Community!
Donate to the Human Services Coalition
“We envision a community that embraces
the dignity and well-being of all people,
supported by a vibrant non-profit sector.”
The Human Services Coalition (HSC) provides information, connections, and support to community members as well as local/regional non-profit agencies. We are funded through various grants and public sources but these funds don’t always cover everything that we need in order to do what we do. Your support is greatly appreciated and one of the many ways we are Creating Solutions Together!
211 Tompkins/Cortland
A caller with a disability needed a service to help
install an air conditioner. Through the referrals
given by 211 staff the caller was able to get help
with installation that evening. 211 staff followed
up the next day and the caller was very satisfied
with the service and referrals given by 211.
HSC Listserv
“Truly, this listserv is very amazing. The amount of information, talent, and resources that we all have are just super!”
-HSC Listserv Member
Health Insurance Assistance
“The navigation service is invaluable to the public,
because the healthcare system is complex and
seldom ‘user-friendly’. Elizabeth is knowledgeable,
professional, and was of immense help in the entire
process. The office runs with the utmost respect for its clients, and I am very grateful for the caliber of service that I received for myself and for my family.”

importance of giving employees a perspective on the

The Meeting Space Directory
“The [Meeting Space Directory] is a really great
tool! I [was having] a really hard time finding space
for our youth fife and drum rehearsals. This is
terrific!”

Continuum of Care
“There’s a dedicated team of people who have been working for many years on street outreach. We’re trying to set the stage for a higher level of care for people experiencing unsheltered homelessness.”
